Builder gel is a thick, self-levelling gel product used to strengthen, shape, or extend natural nails. It creates a hard, supportive layer ideal for weak or brittle nails.
Uses: On natural nails for reinforcement, for extensions, as protective overlay, for nail strengthening, for sculpting and repairs.
What Is Gel Polish?
Gel polish is a thinner, glossy gel applied like regular polish but cured under UV or LED lamp. It’s mainly for colour and shine with chip-resistant finish lasting 2-3 weeks.
Key Differences
Consistency: Builder gel is thick like honey; gel polish is thin and liquid-like. Purpose: Builder gel supports structure; gel polish offers aesthetics. Removal: Builder gel may require filing; gel polish is typically soak-off.
Which Is Better?
For strength: Choose builder gel. For colour: Choose gel polish. For both: Apply builder gel as base, gel polish on top.
